New Catching Fire Character Posters Part 2!!!

The second batch of incredible The Hunger Games: Catching Fire character posters has been released and they are just as epic as the first. In this new sample of Catching Fire images we get to see our first glimpses of the quartet of male leads that are poised to wow audiences including the fabulous Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark, 2 time Golden Globe Winner Donald Sutherland in full President Snow garb, Australian heartthrob Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne and the introduction of rising star Sam Claflin in his highly anticipated debut as Finnick Odair. The photos continue with the regal Victorian theme of the first set and serve as fantastic character re introductions for this blockbuster second chapter of The Hunger Games film franchise.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire updates are coming fast and furious and they keep getting more and more exciting. Hot on the heels of the release of the first official teaser trailer comes the unveiling of this amazing group of character posters featuring all of your favorite Catching Fire tributes in beautiful portrait poses. The star of the group is obviously Katniss herself, Oscar Winner Jennifer Lawrence in a stunningly gorgeous wedding gown and the release also features Effie Trinket (Elizabeth Banks), Haymitch Abernathy (Woody Harrelson), Caesar Flickerman (Stanley Tucci), Cinna (Lenny Kravitz) and new characters Johanna Mason (Jenna Malone) and Beetee (Academy Award nominee Jeffrey Wright). It’s an incredible collection that only makes us more excited for the release of the second installment in the blockbuster franchise.

BREAKING NEWS On The Hunger Games: Mockingjay!

Hollywood and The Hunger Games fans are abuzz today following the highly anticipated announcement that director Francis Lawrence has been tapped to direct the epic two part final installment of the global smash film franchise, Mockingjay. Lawrence is currently helming the The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, the adaptation of the second best selling novel of the series that is set to be released in late 2013.

This is exciting news for movie fans everywhere as this news implies that production on Catching Fire is going so well that Lionsgate Studios sees no need to look for yet another filmmaker to finish The Hunger Games Saga. As you will remember, The Hunger Games director Gary Ross turned down the opportunity to continue with the series leading to the hiring of Mr Lawrence (I Am Legend starring Will Smith, Constantine starring Keanu Reeves, Water For Elephants starring Robert Pattinson) for the first sequel. Under Lawrence’s extremely capable hands all three of the remaining The Hunger Games stories should continue to dominate the box office for the next several years.

Of course having one of the hottest and most skilled casts in film history certainly doesn’t hurt. America’s sweetheart Jennifer Lawrence (The Silver Linings Playbook, Winter’s Bone, X-Men: First Class) will continue her pitch perfect role as Katniss Everdeen alongside co-stars Josh Hutcherson (The Kids Are Alright, Bridge To Terabithia, Red Dawn), Liam Hemsworth (The Expendables 2, The Last song, Knowing) and Elizabeth Banks (The Baxter, The 40 Year Old virgin, The Spider-Man Trilogy).

Sam Claflin Cast As Finnick Odair

Rising star Sam Claflin has landed himself the role of a lifetime. The English thesp was announced as the victor in the race for the pivotal role of Finnick Odair in the Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire. Claflin won the highly sought after role over a veritable who’s who list of the hottest young actors in the working today. The talented 26 year old actor has already amassed an impressive resume in his brief career including supporting roles in the blockbuster hit Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides starring Johnny Depp and Penélope Cruz, Snow White And The Huntsman starring Twilight actress Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth, the British television series Any Human Heart and the soon to be released feature films The Quiet Ones and Mary & Martha but this will be by far his biggest role to date.

Hunger Games fans the world over have waited with bated breath to find out who would be chosen for the beloved role of Finnick, the dreamy champion of the 65th Hunger Games who is recruited alongside Katniss, Peeta and other past winners to compete in the 75th edition and now the answer is finally here. Catching Fire director Francis Lawrence and the films producers have found the actor who will feature not only in Catching Fire but also in the two part franchise finale Mockingjay.

Jennifer Lawrence In The Silver Linings Playbook Trailer

Before she gets started on the eagerly anticipated Catching Fire, our very own Katniss is heading back to the big screen in a much different movie alongside a cast of very talented Hollywood heavyweights. Silver Linings Playbook is directed by Oscar nominee David O. Russel (The Fighter) and will find Ms. Lawrence starring alongside Bradley Cooper (the Hangover 1 and 2, Limitless), Robert DeNiro (Taxi driver, Meet The Parents), Julia Stiles (10 Things I Hate About You, The Bourne Identity films) and Chris Tucker (Rush Hour 1,2 and 3, Jackie Brown) and we’ve got your first look at the trailer below.

The Silver Linings Playbook will feature Ms. Lawrence as Tiffany, a recently widowed young woman who forms a bond with Bradley Cooper’s Pat Solatano who is trying to put his life back together after spending the last five years in a mental institution. The pedigree of this film could not be any better and this first trailer shows all the signs of an amazingly entertaining drama – comedy that should be a real player in the upcoming awards season. Jennifer Lawrence in Serena

Shooting is set to begin soon on Jennifer Lawrence’s next highly anticipated big screen production. The woman who brought Katniss Everdeen to life in Hunger Games will next be starring in another film based on a highly acclaimed novel, Serena.

Lawrence will star alongside The Hangover’s Bradley Cooper in the story of a married couple who sets out to make their fortune in the timber industry in 1920′s North Carolina. The couple’s early success and happiness is short lived when Serena (Lawrence) is not able to have children and the fact threatens her relationship with George (Cooper), the future of their company and ultimately Serena’s sanity. The thrilling drama will be directed by Susanne Beir whose previous credits include the critical hits After The Wedding and Things We Lost In The Fire starring Halle Berry and Benicio Del Toro. The film is scheduled for a 2014 release.
